The first lifts were built on Mt Faloria in 1939. The area has always had a natural bent for sports, in fact, tourists have always appreciated its easy access from Cortina centre and the welcoming mountain restaurant overlooking the valley. Its ski runs, totaling 20 km of length, wind down the slopes of Mt Faloria and Mt Cristallo. Its five black diamond ski runs are popular among expert skiers who love speeding down the brand new Scoiattolo and the legendary Vitelli. In winter, lifts are open for five months from November to early May. In summer, the area offers trails for leisurely walks, demanding trekking, mountain biking and via ferrata climbing, like the beautiful SCI18.
