With the 2025/2026 winter season, a new and important safety regulation comes into force: the obligation for everyone to wear a helmet, regardless of age or discipline. This rule applies to skiers and snowboarders, as well as to those practicing telemark, freestyle or sledding. It is a fundamental step toward making the experience on Cortina’s slopes even safer.
Third-party liability insurance: a requirement already in place
We also remind you that since 1 January 2022 it has been mandatory to have third-party liability insurance in order to access Italian ski resorts.
Many household insurance policies already include this coverage, but it is advisable to check with your insurance company. The insurance is not included in the ski pass, but it can also be purchased for a single day.
Alcohol and substances: zero tolerance on the slopes
The same rules as the Italian Highway Code apply on the slopes: the blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l and skiing under the influence of drugs is prohibited. Responsible behavior is essential to ensure your own safety and that of others.
