SUMMER 2025: Traffic and Mobility in Cortina
Getting around Cortina d’Ampezzo in summer? Easy, with public transport!
With the arrival of summer and the intensification of infrastructure work in the area, the Municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo renews its commitment to sustainable, efficient, and accessible mobility for all — residents and visitors alike. Once again this season, using public transportation is the smartest and most convenient way to enjoy Cortina peacefully, avoiding traffic and helping to protect the environment.
Enhanced and Free Services During the Peak Summer Months
From August 1 to September 9, 2025, access to urban public transport will be free for everyone, with service also running on public holidays along the main routes. Lines 1 and 2 will operate daily, while extra-urban lines 51, 52, and 54 will ensure holiday connections to destinations normally served by lines 3 and 4 during the week.
Free Shuttle from the Acquabona Parking Lot
To encourage the use of the Acquabona park-and-ride facility, a free shuttle will run every 30 minutes, from 6:52–9:20 AM and 6:22–8:50 PM (from July 17 to September 9). During the Lavaredo Ultra Trail (June 25–30), the shuttle will operate all day from 6:52 AM to 8:50 PM.
Parking and Roads: Updates to Know
There are many free, paid, and timed-parking options available to make parking easier throughout Cortina. Please also note important changes to traffic flow, especially on Lungo Boite street, which will be subject to closures and restrictions until September 7, 2025, due to construction work on “Lotto 0.”
