Milano - Cortina 2026 Olympic Games

2021 Ski World Championships

Cortina d'Ampezzo hosted the Ski World Championships in 2021. The Consortium has teamed up with Fondazione Cortina 2021 to organize these important events and build the necessary infrastructures for the races. Yet, there was so much more going on: the investments made for the World Championship events lead to an improvement of the offer of the entire ski area.

The 2021 alpine Ski Corld Championships took place in February 2021: two weeks of races and side events. 600 athletes from 70 nations arrived in the valley along with other 6,000 people (volunteers, technical staff, sports trainers, skimen...).

More than 500 million people from all over the world watched the competitions with live TV coverage. And let's not forget about the digital community that followed and interacted with the events, thanks to the new medias such as apps and the social network world!
