We would never have thought of saying goodbye to this winter season, to face a national emergency. But health at the moment is the most precious asset for everyone. After all, this season had started well in advance and with many news.
The Queen of the Dolomites "Cortina d'Ampezzo", this year was the first resort in the Dolomites to welcome skiers on the slopes, beating all the other ski areas over time.
The winter emotions started off in Cortina d’Ampezzo: thanks to the snowfall in early November the possibility to skiing began on Col Gallina on Sunday 10 November 2019.
This winter more events were magical: " Fashion Weekend", the Snowboard World Cup championship, many appointments for walks on snowshoes, aperitifs, dinners and après ski in huts. Photographic exhibitions and cultural events, have further enriched of proposals of the Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The events that have consecrated Cortina as a location of the moment, especially for the skiing world, have been the inaugurations of the new "Freccia nel Cielo" cableway and the new "Lino Lacedelli" slope in the 5 Torri area, as well as an innovative anti-avalanche system.
Cortina will start from where it stopped, stronger and more alive than before: we will go back to skiing, climbing our mountains.
